Description:

This person will be expected to be able to take a part from print to finished product on their own. They will be given a drawing and be asked to set their own vices, select their own tooling/material, and then download the correct program as needed to run the part. The parts can vary in size, and rage from 2in - 24in for these particular machines. Majority of their parts are stainless steel.

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings from enginnering.

• Working directly with engineering to improve machining process

• Performing full setups on machines (changing jaws, touching off tools, building off tools)

• Troubleshooting machines (if a part isn't coming out right, performing adjustments and offsets)

• Working with DMG Mori CMX 1100s

• Working with tolerances +- .0005

• First piece inspection with CMM machine and gauging tools (air gauges, height gauges, calipers, micrometers)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Best Candidate:

5+ years of CNC Vertical milling experience doing setups on DMG Mori CMX 1100s within an Aerospace company using Fanuc controls or Mitsubishi controls.

Average Candidate:

3+ years of CNC milling experience with minor setup experience.

MUST:

• At least 2 years of CNC Milling experience

• Experience stetting up machines

• Must have experience on vertical mills

• Ability to do change overs, adjustments, setting up fixtures, locking out vices, ability to read blueprints, and swap out their own tooling.

• A big plus would be any experience using Mastercam software to make edits/changes to the programs.

The machine centers they have are 3-5 axis machines and they work mostly on stainless steel, mild steel, and carbon steel
