Boston Government Services is seeking a Network Architect/Engineer/Administrator to support our client in Amarillo Texas.

Responsibilities:

Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Networking (Cisco preferred).

  • Complex routing and switching design and implementation.

  • Experience with SCADA, IoT, and other Operational Technology networking.

  • Experience with firewall design and implementation.

  • VoIP experience.

  • Experience with IDS/IPS.

  • Experience with design and implementation of 802.1x.

  • Experience with design and implementation of wireless technologies.

  • Progressive experience in technical roles and solution architect roles.

  • Understanding of server technologies such as Windows, Unix/Linux, VMWare.

  • Understanding of Cloud technologies (Amazon/Azure preferred).

  • Understanding of ITIL processes and experience implementing ITIL concepts.

  • Understanding of ServiceNow.

  • Understanding of programming/scripting languages such as Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, BASH, Perl, Python, Powershell.

  • Experience with DevOps scripting languages (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).

  • Strong cyber security background.

  • Certification in key proficiencies (Networking, Windows, VMWare, Unix, Cloud).

  • Ability to present technical and operational information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word, solve complex technical problems, and be alert to changes that may affect the security and operational environment of systems.

  • Must be US citizen.

  • Successful drug screening.

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Q-Clearance.

  • At least 5-Years experience with a BA/BS.

  • Prior experience with DOE, Y12 or Pantex.

    Regarding Location/Work Arrangement:

  • This position is located in Amarillo, TX and is a Hybrid Work Arrangement depending on arrangement.

    Starting compensation for this role typicallysalary ranges between $165,000 - $185,000 annuallyis commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
