Responsibilities*
Basic Function and Responsibility
To provide excellent clinical and administrative support in Radiation Oncology clinical setting.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Taking and recording vital signs and collecting/processing specimens in point-of-care testing labs.
Process patient care orders using the electronic ordering system may be required in certain areas according to approved physician-delegated protocols and standing orders.
Maintain in basket messaging for provider messaging, medication refills, patient portal messaging, etc..
Obtains and records accurate/pertinent intake information that includes preparing medical information, allergies, surgical history, etc..
Efficiently and effectively prepare, stock, and organize clinic exam rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment.
Serves as a chaperone during sensitive examinations.
Monitor patient work flow and notify patients/families of schedule or provider delays.
Perform other assignments such as assisting with closing processes.
Prepare, complete forms, and ensure patients are given appropriate paperwork.
Support virtual care appointments as applicable.
Demonstrate the ability to multi-task independently.
Maintains effective, collaborative relationships with other ACUs.
Ensure HDR procedure coverage
Required Qualifications*
Minimum Qualifications
You are required to have either graduated from a Medical Assistant program OR have an equivalent combination of education and 1-3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
High school diploma or GED
Preceptor status
MiChart experience
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent attendance
Excellent technical skills: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Work Schedule
- Hours for this position are 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. with a 30 min. lunch
