Job Description Responsible for overseeing operations at a warehouse or storage facility to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule within our policy, procedures and regulations. Duties include preparing schedules for warehouse associates, training new employees, as well as certifying on how to use machinery and monitoring compliance with safety standards. Produce reports that accurately reflect the inventory of supplies as well as raw donations and salvage inventory. Ensure that trucks are loaded properly, safely, and accurately with product to be sent to customers. Position is physically engaged in all aspects of processing salvages throughout the entire process. Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Ensuring that drivers adhere to loading and unloading procedures and timelines. Streamlining duties of truck drivers when transitioning between route running and donation bin pickup. Assists Logistics Manager and Community Donation Manager in procurement/coordination of material donations from the community, other retailers, and corporations. Aids in the preparation process for distribution of the secondary market salvage materials. Ensures that next run route supply order is prepped and waiting for incoming truck driver. Carries out the material flow of production to customers efficiently. Provides daily salvage numbers to Logistics Manager. Communicates and engages daily tasks with co-workers. Leads all workers; providing guidance and coverage when needed. Maintains running inventory of all donations. Ensures supplies are inventoried and reported. Participates in the daily functions of the warehouse. Operates and leads when needed as fork lift operator. Trains and certifies employees on fork lift. Builds relationships with store managers as well as consistent communications. Fills truck orders from customers accurately each day. Provides and maintains high standard of customer service. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree preferred. Must have five years of related work experience in DOT regulations, warehouse, retail operation, and distribution. Valid Class D drivers license and safe driving record required. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, as well as people with disabilities, will be considered in lieu of degree.
