Purpose of Position: The Assistant Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining guest service. This position directly assists our General Manager with all manager responsibilities, including, but not limited to, on-the-floor shift management, guest interaction, facilities troubleshooting, eMenu management, and staff support. The Assistant Manager aids in hiring, training, evaluating, and holding staff accountable in adhering to our company and restaurant standards.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensures each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest and by maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest services. This includes touching tables every shift.

  • Recruits, trains, develops and communicates with all staff as well as assesses performance on a regular basis.

  • Assist the General Manager in interviewing and processing new employees through our HR department.

  • Assist the General Manager with adjusting employee rates on a daily basis for up-to-date labor reports.

  • Assist with any and all administrative responsibilities needed and delegated by the General Manager.

  • Aids our Booking Manager in large party and private dining room booking and execution.

  • Being present on the floor during all hours of service as the “Go-To Manager”.

  • Ensuring all side work is completed and proper closing/opening procedures are followed.

  • Responsible for preparation of the shift (ie. pre-shift notes, pre-service list, crib sheet, and eMenu management).

  • Assists in maintaining all uniform standards, restaurant and boardroom standards, as well as monitors inventory levels of product.

  • Plans and assigns daily/weekly/monthly goals, contests, tasks and assignments.

  • Works closely with our culinary team and eMenu provider to adjust and update our menus as needed. This includes repairs and updates that need to be addressed.

  • Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures.

  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

  • Listens and communicates clearly at the beginning and during every shift to employees on the floor regarding floor seating and business levels.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years management.

  • High school diploma or higher education preferred.

  • Must work holidays.

  • Must be self-motivated and possess the desire for self-development.

  • Be a team player.

  • 2-4 years gets 15 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)

  • 5+ years gets 20 PTO days - 1,200 hours (average 23 hours per week)

Holiday Pay:

  • Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time and a half.
