Description

We are offering a employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Costa Mesa, California. This position plays a critical role in our finance department, with responsibilities encompassing both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). The successful candidate will be adept at invoice processing, data entry, and collections among other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and review vendor invoices for appropriate GL coding

• Prioritize and process all vendor payments based on vendor terms

• Monitor electronic inbox for invoices and set up and maintain vendor records accordingly

• Process monthly expense reports and perform other data entry and administrative duties as required

• Create, track and manage invoices and credit memos

• Process company deposits and apply customer payments. Reconcile customer accounts

• Effectively manage, track and collect aging receivables; communicate with customers to ensure timely payments

• Review customer credit applications and make decisions on granting or denying terms

• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and SAP for various tasks

• Handle commercial collections and other related tasks as necessary.

Requirements

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in billing and invoice processing

• Strong data entry skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in preparing and managing expense reports

• Knowledge and experience in collections procedures

• Experience in commercial collections

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Relevant certification or degree in Accounting or related field.
