ManTech Senior DevSecOps Engineer in Fairfax, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in Fairfax, VA, Warrenton, VA , The Pentagon or Fort Washington, MD.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will apply your expertise in data wrangling, analysis, and model building to tackle complex business challenges and derive actionable insights from diverse data sources. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders across our customer’s government organization to translate data into meaningful recommendations that drive positive change.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable DevOps pipelines using tools like CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) platforms, infrastructure as code (IaC), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Integrate security best practices into the DevOps workflow, including threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, and security code reviews.

  • Automate security testing throughout the development lifecycle to identify and remediate vulnerabilities early.

  • Collaborate with development and security teams to define and implement security policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues to ensure high availability and performance.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest DevSecOps trends and technologies and propose improvements to our DevOps processes.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers on DevSecOps principles and practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevSecOps or related role.

  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies (CI/CD, IaC, containerization).

  • Working experience with RedHat Linux

  • Proven experience with security tools and methodologies (threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, secure coding practices).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Passion for security and building secure software.

  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • TS/SCI

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
