The Montana Department of Revenue administers almost 40 state taxes, property appraisals, alcoholic beverage laws, cannabis laws, and unclaimed property for the state of Montana. The Information Management Bureau is responsible for: processing paper and electronic payments, returns and correspondence; managing customer information; managing software vendor relations. In this role as a Business Analyst I for the Digitization team, you will perform a variety of task. Typical job duties for this position include: * Conduct research and data analysis regarding imaging operations * Enter, track, maintain, analyze, and report program data * Recommend system improvements pertaining to imaging workflow, mail, and document preparation * Write business requirements needed for the imaging process to develop multiple software programs * Write test scenarios, coordinate testing and training for new or modified processes * Coordinate multiple projects concurrently, maintain project timelines, collaborate with impacted stakeholders * Provide technical support to employees for specialized system and knowledge areas * Process data through various equipment, software and systems The Digitization Unit is responsible for: * Centralized processing and digitization of incoming paper correspondence, money and returns * And consists of data processors and business analyst who report to a Unit Manager * We work in a team environment that collaborates to process large influxes of workthroughout the year and at other times work on enhancements and efficiencies // /Knowledge of:/ * Data management * Business administration * Information systems management * Communications * Program management and project planning * Public communication principles * System and program support * State and federal tax laws, rules, and regulations /Skills in:/ * Research and analysis * Technical troubleshooting * Escalation and support techniques * Accuracy and attention to detail * Conflict resolution * Microsoft programs and other data base applications * Written, Verbal, and interpersonal communication * * You would be a great fit for this position if you have: * have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with a variety of people * have an aptitude for learning applications and critical thinking * have strong written and verbal communication skills * are friendly, outgoing and like collaborating with team members * like variety of work and project planning or management experience * have experience using spreadsheets, graphs, and charts _Working Conditions__ * Work hours may exceed 40 hours from time to time, including weekends. * May need to work at a computer daily for 8 or more hours at a time. * Office environment * Lifting is infrequent, less than 50 pounds. * Some travel may be required.
