About the Job

As a Plumbing Technician, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing processes by being responsible for the production, testing, documentation, and installation of the plumbing/gas movement components of our systems. These include hydraulics, various valve technologies, fuel delivery systems, pumps, electric motors, stainless steel piping, and flexible hosing.

Experience and Abilities:

  • Experience working with water process piping.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical schematics
  • Familiar with all relevant safety obligations and committed to ensuring the safety of your colleagues, equipment, and plant
  • Abide by safe work standards, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing water supply systems.
  • Ability to install, repair, and maintain water and drainage systems in compliance with plumbing codes and specifications.
  • Ability to assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Ability to measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to the required angle, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines.
  • Ability to install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and appliances.
  • Ability to work over time as needed
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Corporation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience working with plumbing equipment and fixtures
  • Must have experience working on water system plumbing using copper piping and PVC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Climbing
