Bristol-Myers Squibb Company Director, Worldwide Medical Oncology, Thoracic Cancers in Lawrenceville, New Jersey

Duties: Provide scientific and medical support on behalf of WW (Worldwide) Medical as well as development and execution of the WW Medical RCC strategy (communication, publication, and ISR strategy) by drawing experience with, biostatistical analysis; critical appraisal of scientific and clinical data; synthesis and dissemination of scientific and clinical data; navigating complex suite of digital software ranging from cloud servers, social media, and vendor platforms; broad scientific, clinical, and pan-therapeutic knowledge of the disease area of focus, but also the broader therapeutic area in general. Lead the cross functional team providing medical support of the thoracic cancer program, while assuming primary lead responsibilities for that tumor (non-metastatic). Develop and execute the global medical plan, provide medical insight into strategic plans, and provide strategic direction in scientific communication to ensure delivery of key knowledge to the internal stakeholders including local medical market colleagues; ensure global alignment for the medical plan. Lead workstreams to identify evidence gaps to address unmet needs and to define and support global execution of these opportunities. Liaise between the Development and Commercial teams with respect to the communication strategy, training strategy, development of medical plans and advisory board planning. Partner closely with colleagues in Markets, Discovery, Clinical Research, Regulatory, and Health Outcomes to ensure the science of the pipeline products and marketed medicines are understood and communicated properly internally and externally. Liaise with the medical imuno-oncology leads to support alignment across the immuno-oncology platform and the various programs. Communicate and collaborate with WW Commercialization & Value and Access organizations to integrate medical perspectives into the commercialization process and ensure appropriate alignment between commercial and medical plans. Establish and maintain ongoing long-term collaborative peer-to-peer relationships with key thought leaders and manages Global Key Opinion Leader (KOL) activities, including advisory boards; align with markets and regions to ensure transparency regarding KOL activities. Focus and engage with high impact external influencers/thought leaders to identify and translate key insights and to drive adoption of BMS medicines. May work remotely 5 days every 2 weeks within normal commuting distance of Lawrenceville, NJ.Requirements: PhD degree in Pharmacy, Immunology/Immuno-Oncology, Oncology (Thoracic and Head and Neck Cancers), or a related field plus 7 years of post-baccalaureate experience showing demonstrable ability in the skill set described above. The required skills do not need to be maintained over the full term of required experience.
