Job Summary / Purpose

The incumbent is to present for work in a timely manner, groomed professionally, and perform their job function in accordance with all CHI Saint Joseph Health standards, policies and procedures. Each employee is responsible for upholding the CHI Saint Joseph Health values.

The Foundation plays an integral role in fundraising for CHI Saint Joseph Health’s five KY market Foundations. The primary responsibility for this role will be donor relations. Acquiring new donors, stewarding current constituents and managing giving programs for CHI affiliated hospitals in Central Kentucky.

The individual will carry a portfolio of between 150-200 donors with a goal of $1M annually. Working closely with the Annual Giving Program Manager, Philanthropy and Volunteer Services team; this role will oversee designated board and volunteer committees with programs, physicians and staff.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interacts with multiple audiences, including current and prospective donors, board members, corporate contacts, physicians and all levels of hospital staff. Work is in an office setting with weekend and evening appointments on occasion. The position reports to the Market Director of Philanthropy giving and works closely with a variety of departments both local and national to accomplish communication goals relative to resource management and outreach.

Serve as an ambassador on behalf of the CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations to the external communities we serve.

Responsibilities

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Primary responsibility for the Donor Relations Executive is external cultivation and stewardship of constituents in Nelson and Fayette County.

  2. Provide stewardship for fundraising events and communication with supporters of Flaget Memorial Hospital and other CHI Saint Joseph Health system affiliated providers

  3. Serve as an integral part of the Philanthropy team by managing a portfolio of approximately 150-200 annual and major gift donors throughout Kentucky

  4. Leverage social media and other software applications for donor communication

  5. Liaison with Commonspirit national services for executing giving campaigns and prospect research CRM platform data social media, website, newsletter communication, Market wide) Implements collateral materials to educate and involve appropriate internal and external constituencies for the Foundation highlighting available charitable giving opportunities.

  6. Deliver on annual fundraising goals for the system, with specific focus on the major gift opportunities and plans.

  7. Develop cultivation and solicitation strategies for securing a repeatable pipeline of donors as well as cultivate major gift strategies aligned with hospital priorities.

  8. Meet annual targets for donor visits, solicitations and proposals

  9. Maintain customer relations as a primary focus and continually strives to satisfy the needs of customers of the hospital and Foundation.

  10. Keeps apprised of successful fundraising initiatives in healthcare philanthropy that can be successfully incorporated into the Foundation’s’ annual giving program.

  11. High level of engagement in the communities served.

  12. Other Foundation duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

BACHELOR’S DEGREE preferred with minimum 2 years sales or fundraising experience

Required Licensure and Certifications

CFRE Preferred

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information.

Result oriented and proven track record in establishing and achieving goals.

Superior ability to establish donor relationships.

Pay Range

$22.89 - $33.20 /hour
