University of Louisville Control Technician III in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Associate's degree or two years of college, valid driver's license, insurable by University insurance carrier, police record check, employment physical and two years of related experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. Pay Grade 5 (Hourly)Position Description:Perform installation, programming, startup, commissioning, integration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and modifications to the building automaton systems (BAS) for Campus buildings, direct digital, electronic and pneumatic HVAC controls systems. Must understand the various types of HVAC equipment and systems for University buildings to apply various control systems with the mechanical equipment. Must possess an understanding of controls theory for HVAC systems, BACnet, building automation system networking and architectures, as well as understanding the application of energy management techniques. This position responds to emergency situations and is considered a "critical personnel" position. This position must serve on the rotation for standby and call-in situations.
