Position Summary

The Production Operator position will utilize established documentation, equipment, quality and productionprocesses in accordance with safety procedures, and medical device regulations to process andmanufacture finished products, such as sutures and absorbable fibers.

Principal Responsibilities

 Set up, operate, and adjust multiple production processes and/or equipment to SOP as trained, including packaging and labeling.

 Understands and uses various measuring equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, Instron, and scales, following prescribed procedures to meet high-qualityspecifications.

 Documents process data and parameters as required by GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

 Identifies when the process is out of spec and recognizes when to notify the supervisor or manufacturingengineer.

 Follow applicable safety requirements, procedures, work instructions, and standards as required,including the use of personal protective equipment.

 Understand general and technical aspects of the job.

 Use personal judgment in problem-solving and troubleshooting problems.

 Must be able to work flexible hours.

Education / Experience Requirements

 Minimum of High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.

 Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience required. 2 years experience preferred.

 Previous experience working in the medical device field preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

 Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office. SAP experience preferred.

 Basic math (addition, subtraction, and division) skills and assembly skills

 Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

 Strong attention to detail.

 Excellent verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak Englishfluently.

 High degree of initiative.

 Ability to work under minimal supervision.

 Exposure to high production/output machinery and equipment and constant noise in the productionenvironment.

 Will spend 10% of time sitting and 90% persistent standing or walking/carrying.

 Must be able to avoid potentially moving objects which could cause injury.

 Consistent lifting: 2-20 lbs. necessary/ Max = 50 pounds.

 Must be able to reach, grasp, pull push consistently.

 Fine motor skills required.

 Strong hand-eye coordination.

 Sight: Vision must be strong enough, with or without corrective lenses, to allow the employee to safely andaccurately complete their job responsibilities.

 Must be available to work weekends and overtime as needed.
