You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement process enhancements, and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for driving operational excellence. Here you will make an impact by:Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.Develop and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to drive process improvements.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address process issues and minimize defects.Monitor and analyze process performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions.Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in process engineering to drive innovation and best practices.Provide technical support and guidance to production teams to ensure smooth operations and adherence to process standards.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of a culture of operational excellence.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree in engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionThree (3) years of process engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Three (3 ) years of experience in manufacturingStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process optimization, and quality control principlesProficient in process analysis tools and techniques, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical process controlExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and qualityAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyContinuous improvement mindset and a passion for driving operational excellenceWork Location:Plant/Facility: Various Locations within the USTravel: May include up to 10% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
