The Manager, Internal Communications North America Operations, manages employee communication by partnering with key stakeholders locally to define and execute the strategy, priorities and desired culture for Luxottica North America Operations (RxO, Logistics, NAASC, Oakley manufacturing).This person will be accountable for ideation, development and successful implementation of IC Operations initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate has the ability to actively engage internal audiences (especially remote ones) and effectively incorporate messaging and storytelling of our Operations in compelling ways in an effort to further build and strengthen Luxottica’s culture. This role requires a progressive and flexible manager capable of working outside of the defined scope and liaising with the Company’s DNA in order to achieve results.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Consolidate a best-in-class internal communications function across NA Operations that fuels employee engagement, influences connectivity and culture, positively impacting the region
Translate objectives into communication plans and event planning, managing a variety of internal messaging needs across organizational change, employee engagement and crisis management Continue to act as a bridge connecting the local businesses in North America to the Global vision, ensuring successful adoption of Group initiatives and projects
Guarantee alignment and best practice sharing, leveraging resources and tools across teams in NY and Mason to increase efficiencies
Manage operations internal communications budget; Audit local budgets to identify cost redundancies to maximize effective allocation of dollars
Align with corporate and external communication strategy
Plans and manages cross-business internal communication initiatives, delivering communication toolkits to local teams for individual tailoring by audience
Provide counsel on all employer branding touch points
Implements metrics reports to measure effectiveness of communication channels
Embed the Group Operations’ DNA through internal facing campaigns and tactics
Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
5+ years of experience in the field of internal communications and/or HR communications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong editing and proofreading skills
Creativity and entrepreneurship, empathy and flexibility
Strong diplomacy skills
Ability to work autonomously and act independently
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Up to 40% travel may be required, as needed
