Robert Half Dispatcher in New Haven, Connecticut

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Dispatcher role based in NEW HAVEN, Connecticut. The job involves coordinating and managing service requests within the telecom provider industry, ensuring efficient use of resources and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving service requests through various channels like phone, email, or digital platforms. • Collecting critical information from customers including their location, vehicle issue, and service needs. • Prioritizing service requests considering urgency, location, and resources available. • Dispatching appropriate drivers and mechanics to service locations using GPS and communication tools. • Ensuring consistent communication with drivers and mechanics to provide updates and assistance as needed. • Utilizing Microsoft Office Suites and specific industry software like aaa and tow book for task management. • Developing and implementing efficient dispatching processes to improve customer service. • Collaborating with team members to manage and respond to service requests. • Utilizing communication skills to effectively answer customer queries and concerns. • Applying basic office skills in everyday tasks and email communications. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dispatcher role or similar

• Proficiency in using Management Systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism

• Experience in dispatching tasks and coordinating schedules

• Basic office skills such as filing, record keeping, and data entry

• Ability to effectively communicate via email

• Experience in operating standard and complex phone systems

• Ability to answer queries and handle issues promptly and professionally

• Must have a flexible schedule as the role may require working during odd hours

• Ability to work in a high-stress environment, maintaining composure and professionalism

• Ability to work well in a team and independently when necessary

• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, higher education may be advantageous

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on urgency and importance

• Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
