Job Information
Aerotek Glazing Foreman in Oceanside, California
Foreman’s Responsibilities:
The foreman's primary responsibility is to manage the job to ensure our scope is completed per our contract & project deadlines, installed per manufacturer’s instructions and project specific engineering requirements. Performing work is only required if all other project management duties are handled. The foreman should be focused on making sure materials are onsite, correct/complete, and ready to install prior to installation .
They should always have a plan for the upcoming days with a path to complete the required scopes in the project deadlines. The foreman is responsible for ensuring
quality control by understanding the contract documents, our submittals, and our project scope. With this information he should be proactively, repeatedly,
and frequently reviewing the work of their crew. He should be assuming the installation is not being done correctly and constantly seeking to find potential installation errors of the crew. (If you’re not looking, you won’t find problems). The foreman should be the one to problem solve issues as they
arrive, and keep the crew moving forward with installations in other areas while he resolves said issue. Do not let the crew get stuck on one issue.
Management of the job includes completing the required paperwork in a timely manner and documenting the activities of the job, delays that occur, and communicating these items to the appropriate PM. Additionally, the foreman should be promoting a positive, proactive, hardworking, efficient, professional atmosphere that doesn't sacrifice quality, safety or timeliness for any reason .
