Internal medicine physician with Owensboro Health Medical Group to provide comprehensive primary medical care to adult patients on a continuing basis at clinic in Leitchfield, Kentucky. Examines patients using medical instruments and equipment. Duties also include eliciting and recording information about patient's medical history as well as ordering and executing various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition, and analyzing reports and findings of tests and examinations, and diagnosing condition of patients. The physician also administers or prescribes treatments and medications; promotes health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease; inoculates and vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases; performs surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency; and refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient's well-being. Provides occasional inpatient hospitalist services. Provides Advance Practice Clinician (APC) supervision. Requires medical degree or foreign equivalent. Complete Internal Medicine residency accredited program. Board certified (BC) or Board eligible (BE) in Internal Medicine. Physician is board eligible on completion of Internal Medicine residency program Able to obtain Kentucky medical license prior to commencement of employment.
