Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise a crew of laborers and operators

• Motivate, guide and train crew to increase performance.

• Maintaining communication with manager regarding process, delays, etc.

• Monitors job specs to ensure quality

• Tracking daily man hours, tonnages, field cost, and keeping detailed notes throughout the day

• Ensure all employees are wearing proper PPE and following all safety guidelines

• Communicate in advance with managers and other supervisors, what equipment is needed and where to perform the scheduled work.

• Expected to operate pieces of equipment when needed

• Ensuring all traffic control is properly set before beginning work

• Scheduling of regular preventative maintenance of equipment

• Able to manage work load based on weather and priority

Requirements:

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in paving industry

• Knowledge of all phases in paving projects

• Experience managing paving projects

• Must have valid driver’s license (Class A or B CDL is preferred)

• Must have basic computer/tablet skills

• Ability to work weekends when needed

• Ability to understand plans and specifications with accuracy
