Our GCEFCU Real Estate Department is searching for aReal Estate Processor and Closer. This is the perfect opportunity to further your Real Estate career! The Real Estate Processor and Closer is responsible for assisting members with their loan applications, process and make loan disbursements.

This position is located at the Mortgage and Insurance building.

This position is a Pay Grade 9, with the schedule of M-F 8:00am- 5:00pm.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Complete setup of new loan files and ordering all required services for preparation for underwriting. Typical services to be ordered: title, insurance, verification of employment, appraisal, flood, fraud check, updated tradelines on credit report, survey, case numbers, certificate of eligibility on Veterans loans, payoff, review power of attorney, etc.
  • Assist in gathering required loan documentation from members; whether meeting with them face to face, pulling internal documents from our system or calling and discussing everything over the phone.
  • Work with the Real Estate Departments processing and closing pipelines by following-up with the other Real Estate Processors, Underwriters, Loan Officers, Title Companies, and other credit Union partners and CUSOs to ensure real estate closings are timely and compliant. May be responsible for processing credit union employee Real Estate loans.
  • Backup the Mortgage Clerk with Escrow responsibilities.
  • Alert loan officer and management with any issues that arise during the process of the loan.
  • Accomplish milestone goals for setup, initial underwriting, final underwriting and then closing. Confirming closing times with title company and coordinating them with the members. Mutually done with the loan officer.
  • Will be required to get licenses to backup the loan officer in taking applications as needed and help post-closing with any outstanding issues as needed.
  • Help review and approve the HUD1 closing statement.
  • Stay up to date with ongoing regulations and changes in lending requirements. Webinars, live meeting, seminars, etc.
  • Responsible for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and all governmental regulations and Credit Union policies and guidelines. Responsible for complying with the Federal Rules and Regulations as required by NCUA. .
