Optiv Cybersecurity Domain Advisor - DLP in Phoenix, Arizona

The Cybersecurity Solutions Advisor or as we call it Domain Security Advisor will be specializing in Data Loss Prevention , Data Governance, Data Protection and Data Privacy is the representative expert and brings deep business experience and advanced security practitioner knowledge for understanding a client's requirements within their domain. The DSA aligns some of the most advanced security services and technologies to achieve highly defensible and scalable security programs to align with the clients’ security initiatives. The DSA has real-world experience and can design pragmatic security solutions tailored to each client’s unique environment and provide our clients and sellers with consistent security expertise on all domain related sales opportunities. In partnership with portfolio advisors and domain specialist, the DSA will facilitate thought leadership and inspired cyber security solutions powered by our ecosystem of people, products, and partners.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Maintain expert knowledge of Optiv security service offerings, and clearly articulate detailed benefits of the Optiv product and service solution portfolio to various client stakeholders

  • Develop the ability to scope services for Optiv Technology Solutions offerings In Data Governance, Privacy and Protections (Data Access Governance (Varonis, SailPoint, Stealbiths,), Data Lifecycle Management (BigID, OneTrust), Data Loss Prevention (Forcepoint, Symantec/Broadcom, Proofpoint), Cryptography (Venafi, Thales), Database Activity Monitoring (IBM Security, Imperva), Data Governance and Data Protection (Microsoft))

  • Provide guidance regarding strategic program initiatives for clients

  • Meet quarterly and annual quota objectives working in partnership with the Sales organization

  • Utilize sales processes to develop account plans in partnership with the Sales organization

  • Add value throughout the sales process in the areas of requirements analysis and technical qualification, solution development, coordination of demonstrations and management of prospect evaluations, and opportunity transition to the Professional Services organization

  • Manage and prioritize sales opportunities

  • Manage and prioritize the proposal process to create SOWs and respond to RFI/RFPs

  • Maintain technical advisor relationship with key stakeholders at major clients by providing thought leadership, support, information, and guidance

  • Obtain top tier vendor and industry-related certifications

  • Collaborate with service delivery to ensure the team has necessary supporting domain specialty materials that presents a consistent and comprehensive approach.  

  • Effectively work with multiple client personas across the security team, as well as other relevant personas to develop domain related security strategy and define roadmaps to execute on security strategy aligned business goals, budgetary spend, and metrics based on return of investment in assigned domain.

  • Maintain advisory relationships with key stakeholders at clients by facilitating thought leadership, support, information, and guidance in conjunction with sales partners relating to assigned domain.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with relevant Optiv technology partners.​

  • Design and solution complete domain specialty related security programs to meet client objectives across technology and services including;

  • Facilitating new discussions by leveraging peer and industry network contacts

  • Performing requirements gathering, analysis and technology selection criteria related to assigned domain

  • Coordinating demonstrations and security technology evaluations in assigned domain

  • "Interface and partner with the internal Optiv teams, particularly service delivery liaisons, to align client expectations with the assigned specialty solution portfolio to ensure service delivery excellence and client satisfaction.

  • Support marketing to build Optiv brand awareness through driving attendance to corporate sponsored events and leveraging social media to properly represent Optiv.

  • Participate in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management activities.

  • Participate in managing and prioritizing the proposal process to create business proposals, contracts, and respond to RFI/RFP’s

  • Actively pursue personal development by maintaining and obtaining technical capabilities, soft skills, and security specific knowledge through formal education, certification, and other avenues.

  • Achieve advanced level knowledge in multiple domain solution areas and be able to translate client needs into actionable proposals for Optiv’s strategic offerings in a timely manner

  • Proficient sales techniques; makes connections, facilitates meetings, reads the room, asks probing questions, overcomes objections, gains trust, maintains composure under pressure, positions solutions, and assist in finalization of sale.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's or higher degree or its equivalent in certifications or work experience, with a preference in STEM, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other related disciplines

  • Minimum of five years in a pre or post-sales capacity with a minimum of 3 years of pre sales experience within the Data Protection space

  • Subject matter expertise in at least one Data Protection technology vertical (e.g., Data Loss Prevention, CASB, Cryptography, Directory Services, or Data Access Governance)

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the following areas: PCI; GLBA; SOX;, CCPA, GDPR, and NYDFS

  • Proven track record of managing technical and high value IT security projects

  • Thorough understanding of the current threat landscape

  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with vendors, prospects, clients, Account Managers, and management

  • Ability to communicate with senior business executives and facilitate high-level business risk discussions

  • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills

  • Highly motivated self-starter that does not require day-to-day management

  • Ability to work in-person and remotely with distributed teams in a decentralized environment.

  • Valid driver’s license or other valid government accepted identification.

  • Ability to travel within assigned region or assigned accounts, as well as internationally as needed.

  • Perform additional duties as directed or needed.

  • CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM, CCSP or other relevant professional cybersecurity certifications.

  • Experience speaking and evangelizing technology vision at large events.

  • Previous experience leading an information security function or program.

  • Organizational membership and participation in chapter meetings such as ISACA, ISSA, etc.
