FirstService Residential Corporate AR Manager, in Plantation, Florida

Perform functions to manage the Billing process and staff. Ensure the accuracy of the entire process as it relates to the processing of revenue-related activities, guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily functions and operations of the Billing department and the proper and timely billing while maintaining standards of excellence for processes, methods and personnel.
  • Perform review of current aging and assist team in ensuring we are receiving payment timely.
  • Work with upper management to develop goals and communicate established goals with department. Ensure the goals and needs of the department, company and its customers are consistently met.
  • Manage the process improvement and quality control of billing functions to maximize productivity, minimize duplicate work, and ensure quality service is delivered. Review the work of assigned staff and ensure proper processing of transactions. Ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner and prioritize and delegate workload as necessary. Align resources to work assignments and processes to meet business requirements. Provide leadership and direction and assist in the investigation and resolution of internal and external problems and concerns.
  • Performs various monthly reconciliations and ensures effective and efficient management reporting, on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Coordinate and manage dispute resolution with the CAMs, RDs and VPs, when necessary.
  • Develop, maintain and manage relationships with internal and external customers. Provide customer service by communicating and coordinating Billing policies and procedures, answering all inquiries and assisting in issue resolution.
  • Oversee the modification, installation, maintenance and/or validity of billing systems to ensure correct execution and accurate recognition of transactions and reports.
  • Manage and/or deliver training and ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government and customer regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions and deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes to ensure accuracy and timelines and make recommendations to the A/R Director. Identify possible issues, inconsistencies, and suggest appropriate corrective procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

Â

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university; and five to seven years related experience and three (3) years supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Must have strong proficiency in Excel and knowledge of PowerBI
  • Excellent organization, planning, motivation, leadership, management and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgment and decision making ability
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong presentation skill
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex projects. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
