Jamie Benway with Robert Half is in search of a dedicated Staff Accountant to be part of our team in PORTLAND, Oregon. This role is primarily focused on property management within the finance and accounting industry. You will be stepping into a critical role due to the retirement of a long-serving team member.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage your prior property management experience to manage financial aspects of properties

• Utilize your knowledge of Yardi software to maintain and update financial records

• Prepare financial statements for properties under management

• Oversee the financial aspects of lease agreements

• Use your finance or accounting degree to analyze and present financial data

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the financial success of properties

• Respond to financial inquiries from property owners, tenants, and colleagues

• Work on special projects as assigned by management

• Monitor and update financial entries and account information

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards in property management.

Requirements • Possess at least 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Proficient in using Yardi software

• Demonstrated ability in Financial Statement Preparation

• Familiarity with managing and accounting for leases

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Must adhere to ethical standards and comply with company policies and procedures

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Experience with other financial software and systems is a plus

• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Capable of handling confidential information responsibly.
