As a Certified Cytologist,you'll provide essential diagnostic evaluations for malignancy and other disease states on both gynecological and non-gynecological body samples. Your expertise will play a crucial role in detecting cancer and identifying pathologic conditions,ensuring timely and accurate results for patients.

Please note this position is a 6-month temporary contract starting March 2024 with an estimated end date in September 2024.

*Responsibilities: *

 Conduct microscopic examination of specimens and perform cellular evaluation for cancer detection and identification of other pathologic conditions.

 Verify specimen identification with patient details and assure adherence to established procedures for specimen collection,preparation,processing,and evaluation.

 Evaluate cellular preparations,discriminate between normal and abnormal cellular components,and identify areas for further study.

 Perform evaluations and preparations according to special requests,providing additional diagnostic interpretation as required.

 Submit evaluations and specimens to pathologists for final evaluation and reporting to referring physicians.

Qualifications:

 Strong communication skills and 

 Fluent in the English language,both written and verbal.

 Attention to detail.

 Must be Cytotechnologist Certified and ASCP Registered.

 ThinPrep certification preferred but not required.

Pay: 

$70.00 Per Hour

Schedule: 

Day Shift | Monday Friday | 8:00am 4:30pm

Temporary,6-month contract | Start: March 2024 | Est. End: September 2024
