Position:

SAS has an opening for an Operations Department Administrator who will support the Manufacturing Team while directly reporting to the Plant Manager. The Department Administrator will provide support in a working relationship with manufacturing will also serve as liaison to the senior executive team and will oversee a variety of special projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Data entry in multiple systems.

  • General office and other administrative duties as assigned.

  • Advise Plant Manager of pertinent issues, correspondence, internal and external messages requiring immediate attention, assisting in the delegation and prioritization of tasks as necessary.

  • Assumes the role of contact person when operations leadership is out of the office.

  • Collaborate with multiple departments to prepare for daily meetings, yearly events, including schedules, presentations, etc. and ensuring that the attendees are prepared with necessary information and tools to participate in the meetings.

  • Works with operations leadership as necessary to coordinate and prepare for meetings, training events and other activities as appropriate.

  • Perform additional duties and projects as required or assigned for the efficient, smooth and timely flow of work and information and the implementation of new procedures and projects.

    Job Qualifications:

  • Be able to exercise absolute confidentiality all matters especially when dealing with sensitive matters.

  • Possess the ability to ensure that appropriate people are included in processes/events; good grasp of necessary scope of involvement as it affects other personnel and departments is required.

  • Be skilled in understanding instruction and responding to management direction.

  • Have the ability to work independently with solid follow-up and follow through

  • Be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and demands while maintaining a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

  • Have excellent job performance and attendance

  • Be able to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations and, solid administrative and organizational skills

  • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.

    Education and Experience requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Experience in manufacturing or production facilities.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Physical labor is necessary for 8 hours or more per day with breaks approximately every two hours including standing walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, talking, hearing and engaging in repetitive motions.

  • Excellent vision to inspect the quality of their work.
