Summary of Position
The Private Investment Operations Specialist will partner with wealth managers to execute on day-to-day investment operation-related responsibilities including but not limited to hedge funds, private equity funds, and real estate funds. The Specialist will liaise with numerous stakeholders, including financial advisors, legal team, client services team in addition to external parties such as investment managers, administrators, and custodians to ensure our clients receive timely, high-quality, and compliant documentation and service execution.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare and execute applicable investment documentation. This includes but is not limited to subscription documents, redemption notices, investment agreements, side letters, and transfer agreements
Liaise with investment managers, administrators, wealth managers, and custodians regarding private investment tasks and related inquiries
Gather and maintain client information for the completion of subscription documents
Coordinate with wealth managers and clients for document review and signature
Support capital calls and capital distributions of private investments
Review and analyze documents and key provisions related to private investments to understand the terms and conditions
Document policies and procedures and monitor to ensure compliance
Design and implement process improvement and leverage technology to drive efficiency
Complete ad hoc private investment related tasks as needed
Skills & Experience
0-5 years of client service or relevant financial industry experience preferred
Excellent client relation skills and the ability to foster and maintain exceptional client service
Well-organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge of Wealth Management's products, policies, and practices
High attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining an organized approach to duties and responsibilities
Devotion to collaboration and ability to thrive in a team environment while working independently
Must be proactive in assessing and acting upon client and company needs
Ability to evaluate, manage, and resolve unexpected and complex situations
High degree of flexibility and professionalism in a demanding, expanding and a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Comfortable with learning and leveraging new technologies to drive efficiency and scalability
