Amazon Area Manager - Amazon Logistics Central Flow in Tempe, Arizona
Description
Amazon is seeking an Area Manager - Amazon Logistics Central Flow. The Area Manager is responsible for managing volume and workflow of multiple Delivery Stations (DS) from a centralized location based out of Tempe, Arizona.
Responsibilities:
Manage the workflow of order across multiple processes
Manage customer experience while minimizing fulfillment cost across multiple DSs
Responsible for communication of workflow status with Operations Managers and Area Managers and escalation of any Customer Experience risk, SLA failure risk, or deviation from Standard Work to the Senior Manager or General Manager
Act as an advisor to the DS operations and senior operations team based on their holistic view of work flow throughout the DS
Facilitate communication between multiple areas of the operation
Provide operational insights to the Last Mile Tech Team (LMT) and work with them to develop advanced and intuitive automated flow control for DS operations
Understand the boundary of responsibilities between Operations on the floor and Central Flow as dictated by Standard Work developed by Central Flow Management
Execute inbound and/or outbound flow operations and communicate the Customer Experience risks and performance opportunities to DS operations in a standardized manner
Execute and develop shift plans based on DS operational requirements and adjust as variables change
Support one of the super regions for flow support
*This role is not virtual and does require you to be local to Tempe, Arizona
**This role will be either Front Half or Back Half based

Basic Qualifications
1+ years of employee and performance management experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
