With the Switchgear Design and Development Lead Engineer assist in the review of the suppliers market and advise the Switchgear Design and Development Manager on the suitability of the equipment

From defined specifications, assist in the design and development of new products and enhancements to existing products

Introduction of these new products into Switchgear Applications Engineering, Systems and Production

Assist in the provision of technical backup support to all sections of the Switchgear and Sales Application Engineering departments

Assist to provide the customer with a reference point from which they can obtain technical post or after sales support

With the Switchgear Design and Development Lead Engineer agree a plan for the work allocated and be responsible for the accuracy and content of the defined work

To keep up to date with the latest technology and review the manufacturing market for suitable equipment which will improve the companies products

At all times adhere to the established company processes and seek the appropriate technical authorisation.

To carry out any other reasonable duties requested of them by the Switchgear Design and Development Manager or Switchgear Design and Development Lead Engineer which are within the capabilities of the job holder
