job summary:

This individual is responsible for translating complex product concepts into clear, concise, and compelling content. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to develop effective materials for both financial professionals and their clients. The Financial Technical Writer will join a team specializing in Fixed Index Annuities

(FIAs).

Collaborates with multiple teams to deliver high quality, accurate content that is

consistent with brand guidelines

? Brainstorms and develops differentiating ideas, transforms these ideas into powerful

and effective written communications.

? Write, edit, revise, and proof internal and external communication pieces including

sales brochures, product guides, and educational materials that effectively

communicate product features

? Draft clear and compliant disclosure documents in accordance with regulatory

requirements, ensuring transparency and accuracy.

? Create user-friendly documentation outlining the specific features, terms, and

conditions of FIAs, catering to both agents and their clients

? Collaborate with sales and product marketing to provide support in developing

persuasive messaging and presentations to enhance the sales process

? Develop educational resources and training materials to empower agents to

effectively explain our FIAs to their clients

? Conduct thorough reviews and edits of all content to maintain consistency, accuracy,

and adherence to brand guidelines

? Ensures full understanding of relevant insights and agent/client targets

? Rewrites/updates existing American Equity product materials as necessary

? Partners with graphics designers to deliver outstanding communications

? Stays informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings

to ensure our materials remain relevant

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university in Finance, Economics,

Business, or related field; and 5-7 years of related experience; or equivalent

combination of education and/or experience. Writer Portfolio required to demonstrate skills and abilities.

Proven experience in financial writing, with a focus on annuities or similar financial

products

? strong understanding of Fixed Index Annuities, including their mechanics, benefits,

and suitability for different agent profiles.

? Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing financial products, including SEC

and FINRA guidelines.

? Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for a

diverse audience.

? Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment,

managing multiple projects simultaneously.

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with WorkFront or similar workflow

management tool and publishing software (e.g., Adobe InDesign)

? Knowledge of AP writing style.

? Strategic thinker who understands how their strategic and creative work contributes

to an overall campaign effort.
